Terms of Service
Welcome to Holisty. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Holisty mobile application (the "App") and its optional workout-sharing service and plugin provided by Holisty ("we", "us", "our"). By using these services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the App
Holisty grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use. This license is subject to these Terms and all applicable laws.
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices or labels
- Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it
- Use unauthorized automated extraction or bypass the service's access and rate limits
2. Accounts
The current release of Holisty is a guest release. No account is required to use the App. Login, account API requests, and cloud history synchronization are disabled in this release.
Your guest activity history is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any data stored on it.
Shared workouts
Creating a shared workout stores the supplied execution data on Holisty's public workout service. Anyone with the link can read it. Links expire after 30 days; changes create a new link. Do not include personal or medical information, or content you do not have permission to share. The plugin provides workout preparation and timing, not medical diagnosis or treatment. You remain in control of starting a session in the app.
Creation is subject to service limits and may be temporarily unavailable. Shared links may be removed in response to abuse or privacy requests. See our support page and privacy policy for assistance and data handling.
3. Accessibility Service
The Focus feature uses Android's AccessibilityService to detect which app is currently open. This feature requires your explicit consent through a separate in-app notice before it is enabled.
You may withdraw consent at any time by:
- Pausing or stopping a Focus session
- Disabling Focus schedules
- Toggling off the accessibility service in the App or in Android settings
Withdrawing consent stops Focus blocking and accessibility data processing. It does not delete your activity history or saved app selections.
4. Intellectual Property
All content, design, graphics, icons, audio, and other materials included in the App are the property of Holisty or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our App or its content without our written permission.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Holisty does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any content within the App.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOLISTY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
7. Health Disclaimer
Holisty is designed for general wellness and is not a medical device. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any exercise or breathing program, especially if you have a pre-existing medical condition.
8. Third-Party Services
The App uses Supabase Storage to deliver ambient audio files. Your use of these audio files is subject to the hosting provider's terms and privacy policy. The App does not use advertising or analytics services.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and may notify you through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the applicable jurisdiction.
